About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Cybersecurity Specialist to strengthen our defense posture for a global SaaS platform serving millions of users. This fully remote position empowers you to own the end‑to‑end security lifecycle—from vulnerability assessment to incident response—while collaborating with cross‑functional engineers, product managers, and compliance officers. You will be the frontline guardian who translates emerging threats into actionable controls, ensuring our customers’ data remains confidential, integral, and available.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct continuous vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and risk assessments across cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructures.
• Develop and maintain threat models, security architectures, and hardening guides aligned with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS benchmarks.
• Lead incident detection, triage, and forensic investigation using SIEM (Splunk, Elastic) and SOAR platforms.
• Automate security workflows with Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, Ansible) and custom scripts (Python, PowerShell).
• Partner with DevOps to embed security gates into CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, container scanning).
• Produce clear, executive‑ready reports and metrics for stakeholders and audit committees.
• Stay current on threat intelligence feeds, zero‑day disclosures, and evolving regulatory landscapes (GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2).

Requirements

Technical Expertise

• 3+ years hands‑on experience in offensive or defensive cybersecurity roles.
• Deep knowledge of network protocols, OS internals (Linux/Windows), and cloud security services (IAM, VPC, Security Hub).
• Proficiency with SIEM rule writing, log correlation, and alert tuning.
• Strong scripting ability (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and tooling.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI‑DSS) and audit preparation.

Certifications (Preferred)
