Job Summary

Northbridge Financial Corporation is seeking a Claims Technical Specialist, Casualty and Litigation (commercial lines) to join its Montréal, Québec office. This role focuses on managing complex commercial casualty claims while delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and assess a diverse portfolio of commercial casualty claims, including Auto, Commercial General Liability (CGL), Directors & Officers, and Professional Liability.
• Conduct thorough investigations, gather documentation, and coordinate with legal counsel, adjusters, and insured parties.
• Prepare detailed claim reports, loss estimates, and recommendations for settlement or litigation strategies.
• Maintain accurate claim files in the company’s management system, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
• Collaborate with underwriting, risk management, and finance teams to support risk assessment and loss mitigation initiatives.
• Provide timely updates to clients and internal stakeholders, fostering transparent communication throughout the claim lifecycle.
• Stay current on industry trends, legal developments, and best practices in commercial casualty and litigation.

Qualifications

• Post‑secondary education in insurance, law, risk management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience handling commercial casualty or professional liability claims.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in both French and English.
• Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast‑paced environment.
