About This Position

Job Summary

Rockwood is seeking a skilled NDT Technician – UT/MT to join its Echo NDE team in Chestermere, Calgary region, Canada. This full‑time role supports non‑destructive testing, inspection and integrity services for maintenance, construction and pipeline projects across North America.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasonic (UT) and magnetic particle (MT) testing on a variety of materials and components according to industry standards (ASME, API, ASTM).
  • Prepare, calibrate and maintain NDT equipment, ensuring accurate and repeatable results.
  • Interpret test data, produce detailed inspection reports, and communicate findings to engineering and client teams.
  • Assist in developing test plans, procedures and documentation for new projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, welders and fabricators to resolve non‑conformance issues.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following company H&S policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide on‑site support and mentorship to junior technicians.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) from an accredited body.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in industrial NDT, preferably in pipeline or facility maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of NDT codes, standards and best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, communication and documentation skills.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to job sites within the Calgary region.
