About the Role

Apex Ventures is a thesis‑driven, early‑stage venture fund focused on B2B SaaS, fintech infrastructure, and climate tech. As a Venture Partner you operate with full autonomy: you define your deal flow, run due‑diligence sprints, and champion portfolio companies through growth milestones. This is not a sourcing‑only position; you will sit on boards, advise on go‑to‑market strategy, and co‑lead follow‑on rounds alongside the General Partners.

Key Responsibilities

Deal Origination & Sourcing

Build a proprietary pipeline by attending founder communities, hackathons, and academic spin‑outs; leverage your personal network to uncover pre‑seed opportunities before they hit mainstream radar.

Due Diligence & Investment Memos

Conduct deep market sizing, competitive landscaping, and founder assessments; produce concise, data‑rich investment memos that drive Investment Committee decisions within 48 hours.

Portfolio Value Creation

Serve as a strategic advisor to 3‑5 portfolio companies: refine product‑market fit, design scalable sales motions, and connect founders with tier‑1 talent and later‑stage capital.

Fundraising & LP Relations

Participate in LP meetings, co‑author quarterly updates, and help structure co‑investment vehicles that expand the fund’s capital base.

Qualifications & Requirements

Proven Track Record

Minimum 5 years of experience as a founder, early‑stage operator, or VC associate with at least two successful exits or Series A+ fundraises under your belt.

Domain Expertise

Deep functional knowledge in at least one of our focus verticals (SaaS, fintech infra, climate tech) and a demonstrable network of relevant founders and angels.

Analytical Rigor

Comfortable building bottom‑up financial models, cohort analyses, and unit‑economics dashboards in Excel or Python; able to translate data into crisp investment theses.

Remote‑First Mindset

Self‑directed, asynchronous communication skills; proficiency with Notion, Linear, Zoom, and Slack for seamless collaboration across time zones.

Salary Range

$180,000 – $250,000 USD/year base, plus carried interest participation (typically 0.5 %–1 % of fund carry) and performance‑based bonuses tied to portfolio milestones.
