Job Summary
Actalent is seeking an experienced EHS Manager for its large, highly automated manufacturing facility in Springfield, Washington County, US. This role leads health, safety, environmental compliance and security programs while mentoring a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and implement comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root‑cause analyses.
- Lead a team of EHS specialists, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development.
- Partner with senior leadership to integrate safety and sustainability into operational decisions.
- Monitor environmental permits, emissions, waste handling, and sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and present EHS metrics to management.
- Manage emergency response planning, drills, and security protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety Engineering, Environmental Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Professional certification preferred (e.g., CSP, CIH, CEM).
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001/45001 standards.
- Proven leadership and team‑building skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
Compensation
Salary: $110,020.01 annually
