About This Position
WSP is hiring a Lead P C Engineer for its Duluth, Gwinnett County, GA office. This senior role leads substation protection and control engineering on multi‑site projects, offering a competitive salary of $99,719.70.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and engineering guidance for substation protection and control (P&C) designs across multiple sites.
- Develop and review single‑line diagrams, relay settings, coordination studies, and control schematics.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct design reviews, and ensure compliance with industry standards (IEEE, NERC, IEC).
- Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and clients to meet schedule, budget, and performance goals.
- Support bid preparation, scope development, and cost estimating for new substation projects.
- Participate in field inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field); PE license preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in substation protection, control, and automation engineering.
- Proficiency with P&C software tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM, PowerFactory) and CAD platforms.
- Strong knowledge of protection relays, SCADA, and communication protocols.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in an office‑based or hybrid setting; remote flexibility for qualified candidates.
