FTG Aerospace is hiring an Electrical Engineer – Aerospace in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County. This full‑time role offers a salary of $107,953 per year and involves designing, testing and supporting electrical and software systems for aircraft and spacecraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring harnesses, and embedded software for aerospace platforms.
- Perform system integration, verification, and validation testing to meet FAA and MIL‑STD requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with mechanical, propulsion and systems engineers to ensure seamless cross‑disciplinary integration.
- Support prototype builds, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in aerospace electrical design or embedded systems.
- Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks Electrical) and simulation software (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB/Simulink).
- Strong knowledge of aerospace regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
- Hands‑on experience with PCB design, power distribution, and signal integrity.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with avionics, flight control systems, or satellite payloads.
- Familiarity with DO‑178C, ARP4754, and other aerospace certification processes.
- Programming experience in C/C++ or Python for embedded applications.
