About the Role

In this position, you will conduct virtual site surveys, interpret topographic and boundary data, and prepare detailed reports for civil engineering, construction, and environmental clients. You will collaborate with project managers, field crews, and CAD technicians using cloud‑based platforms to ensure accuracy and timeliness. The role demands strong analytical skills, proficiency with surveying software, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform remote surveys using GPS, total station data, drone imagery, and GIS software.
• Process and analyze spatial data to produce accurate maps, plats, and legal descriptions.
• Prepare survey reports, coordinate with clients, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment virtually; troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
• Assist in the preparation of construction staking data and as‑built documentation.
• Stay current with emerging technologies such as LiDAR, photogrammetry, and BIM integration.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in land or construction surveying; remote or hybrid experience a plus.
• Proficiency with surveying software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Leica Geo Office, or similar.
• Strong understanding of coordinate systems, datum conversions, and surveying mathematics.
