Technology Director

The Republic County Unified School District 109 is seeking a Technology Director to lead and manage all technology operations across its district offices and school buildings in Belleville, Republic County, US.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the district’s technology infrastructure, ensuring reliable network, hardware, and software performance.
• Oversee implementation and maintenance of data management systems, cybersecurity protocols, and cloud services.
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and staff to align technology solutions with educational goals.
• Develop and manage the technology budget, including procurement, licensing, and contract negotiations.
• Lead a team of IT specialists, providing coaching, performance evaluations, and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to student data privacy and technology standards.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans for all district technology assets.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in K‑12 educational technology leadership.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale networks, server environments, and classroom technology integrations.
• Strong knowledge of student information systems, learning management platforms, and data security best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required state certifications for technology administrators.
