About This Position
Burnett Specialists is hiring a Business Development Manager in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, CA to lead new business growth and expand existing accounts across the Western Region. This full‑time role focuses on selling permanent fall protection and safety systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with end users, installation partners, and manufacturer representatives.
- Build and nurture long‑term relationships with existing customers to increase account revenue.
- Conduct consultative sales presentations and educate clients on safety system benefits and compliance.
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies and quarterly targets.
- Collaborate with engineering, service, and marketing teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and contract negotiations.
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform product development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience in safety equipment, fall protection, or industrial solutions.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Strong consultative selling and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Western Region (up to 50% of the time).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $148,056.02 annually, plus performance‑based commissions and a comprehensive benefits package.
