About This Position
Job Summary
Un Mundo de Amigos is launching a new preschool in Long Beach, Los Angeles County and seeks a dedicated Preschool Center Supervisor to lead daily operations, support staff, and ensure a nurturing environment for children and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the new center’s opening and ongoing daily operations.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate age‑appropriate curriculum and enrichment programs.
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
- Supervise, coach, and schedule teachers and support staff, conducting performance evaluations and fostering professional growth.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment, handling emergencies and incident reporting.
- Build strong relationships with families, address concerns, and promote parent engagement activities.
- Manage enrollment processes, enrollment records, and attendance tracking.
- Prepare and control the center’s budget, monitor expenses, and handle supply ordering.
- Collaborate with the Area Director on strategic planning, reporting, and community outreach.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a preschool or early‑learning setting.
- Current California Child Development Permit (CDP) or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong knowledge of California licensing requirements and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a dynamic classroom environment.
Benefits & Compensation
