Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data architectures on Amazon Web Services for health‑care claim and financial management systems.
• Collaborate with enterprise and solution architects to align data platforms with overall modernization strategies.
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, HITECH) across cloud environments.
• Develop ETL pipelines, data lakes, and analytics solutions using AWS services such as Redshift, Glue, Athena, and S3.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and best‑practice guidance to engineering teams.
• Conduct performance tuning, cost‑optimization, and disaster‑recovery planning.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing data solutions on AWS.
• Strong background in Medicaid, Medicare, or Health and Human Services data domains, especially claims and financial data.
• Proficiency with AWS data services (Redshift, RDS, DynamoDB, Glue, Athena, EMR) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Deep understanding of data modeling, warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and big‑data technologies.
• Experience with data security, encryption, and compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
