About the Role

As a Remote Structural Engineer, you will partner with architects, contractors, and project managers to develop structural designs that meet code requirements, budget constraints, and sustainability goals. You will perform calculations, create detailed drawings using industry‑standard software, and provide technical support throughout the construction lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis and design for buildings, bridges, and infrastructure projects using tools such as SAP2000, ETABS, RAM Structural System, or Revit Structure.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams via video conferencing, cloud‑based platforms, and shared BIM models to ensure design integrity and timely delivery.
• Review contractor submittals, respond to RFIs, and perform virtual site‑visit inspections when needed to verify construction adherence.
• Stay current with building codes (IBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE 7) and incorporate sustainable design practices, including lifecycle assessment and material optimization.
• Assist in project estimating, cost control, and value engineering exercises to enhance client satisfaction.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct internal training sessions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of firm‑wide design standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; PE license preferred or eligibility to obtain within 12 months.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in structural design for commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, RAM Structural System) and CAD/BIM tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures).
• Strong understanding of applicable codes and standards (IBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, NFPA).
