Senior Compliance Professional

Humana is seeking a Senior Compliance Professional in Trenton, Mercer County, US. This senior‑level role reports to the Associate Director of Compliance and is responsible for safeguarding the company’s adherence to complex regulatory and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret, implement, and monitor federal, state and local regulations affecting healthcare operations.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop remediation plans for moderately complex to complex compliance issues.
• Lead internal audits, manage corrective action programs, and ensure timely reporting to senior leadership.
• Provide strategic guidance to business units on policy development, contract interpretation, and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, and operations teams to resolve compliance gaps and support continuous improvement.
• Prepare and present compliance reports, dashboards, and executive briefings.
• Mentor junior compliance staff and foster a culture of ethical conduct.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Administration, Law, or related field (Master’s or JD preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate compliance, preferably within the healthcare industry.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and other relevant health‑care statutes.
• Proven ability to analyze complex regulatory language and translate it into actionable policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in compliance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
