Job Summary
Broad River Rehabilitation is seeking a full‑time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) on a PRN basis at its Skilled Nursing Facility in South Haven, Van Buren County, MI. This role offers a competitive annual salary of $119,822.37.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders for residents in the skilled nursing setting.
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with Medicare and state regulations.
- Document all evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the electronic health record accurately and promptly.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members—including nurses, PT/OT, dietitians, and physicians—to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education and counseling to patients, families, and staff on communication strategies and safe feeding techniques.
- Participate in case conferences, discharge planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain professional licensure, certifications, and continuing education requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current State of Michigan SLP license and ASHA certification (CCC‑SLP) preferred.
- Minimum 1‑2 years of experience in a skilled nursing or long‑term care setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate, patient‑centered approach.
- Ability to work flexible PRN hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
