Job Summary

Active Day is seeking a full‑time Activities Coordinator in Lexington, Fayette County, US. You will design, lead, and evaluate therapeutic recreational programs that enrich the daily lives of our members.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, facilitate, and assess individual and group activities based on members’ interests and therapeutic goals.
• Ensure programs promote interaction, relaxation, health, and overall quality of life.
• Select, train, and supervise activity staff and volunteers, maintaining compliance with program standards.
• Monitor attendance, gather feedback, and adjust activities to meet evolving needs.
• Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and collaborate with clinical teams.
• Manage activity budget, equipment inventory, and safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree in recreation, therapeutic recreation, or related field preferred.
• Experience designing and delivering therapeutic recreational programs, preferably in a senior or healthcare setting.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Compensation

Salary: $30,234.42 per year (fixed).
