About This Position

Position Overview

WVU Medicine is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Home Health services across the United States. This role provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients in their homes under RN supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver hands‑on nursing care to homebound patients, following care plans developed with the RN.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and perform wound care.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to assess needs and adjust care plans.
  • Document all nursing activities accurately in the electronic health record.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on disease management, medication adherence, and safety practices.
  • Report changes in patient condition promptly to the supervising RN.
  • Maintain compliance with state regulations, WVU Medicine policies, and HIPAA standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum 1‑2 years of home health or clinical nursing experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while following RN directives.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for home visits.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record systems.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary: $77,335.62 (fixed). Competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and continuing education support.
