Key Responsibilities
- Administer and oversee federal, state, and private grant agreements, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, sub‑awards, and purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate financial records, track expenditures, and prepare cost reports for grantors.
- Coordinate with university departments, investigators, and external stakeholders to facilitate timely fund disbursement.
- Conduct internal audits, monitor budget performance, and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance on grant policy, financial management, and procurement procedures.
- Prepare periodic financial statements, forecasts, and audit documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in grant administration, contracting, or federal financial management.
- Strong knowledge of OMB Circulars, FAR, and grant compliance standards.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, PMP, CCA).
- Experience working in a higher‑education environment.
- Familiarity with the Georgia Teachers’ Retirement System and university tuition assistance programs.
