Konecranes is seeking a detail‑oriented Project Accountant to join its finance team in New Berlin, Waukesha County. This role supports project financials, budgeting, and reporting while ensuring compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking from initiation to close‑out.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad‑hoc financial statements and variance analyses for assigned projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and senior finance staff to ensure accurate invoicing and timely revenue recognition.
- Maintain project accounting records in ERP systems, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.
- Assist in preparing internal and external audit documentation and respond to audit queries.
- Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including accruals and expense allocations.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline project accounting procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in project accounting, construction finance, or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Detail‑focused with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
