About This Position
Robert Half is seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor for a privately‑held consumer products company in Everglades Br, Broward County, FL. This role partners with the Corporate Controller to lead the accounting team, streamline month‑end close, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and inventory.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Controller to improve and accelerate the month‑end close process.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Develop, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff to boost performance and engagement.
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement automation or workflow enhancements.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing required documentation and explanations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, month‑end close, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a track record of process improvement.
Compensation & Benefits
