About This Position
Maximus is hiring a UI/UX Designer in Colorado Springs, El Paso County, US. This role supports federal programs in national security, defense and public service, delivering user‑centered design solutions for high‑impact government missions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design intuitive user interfaces and engaging user experiences for federal applications and portals.
- Conduct user research, create personas, wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity mockups.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and subject‑matter experts to translate requirements into visual designs.
- Apply usability testing and analytics to iterate and improve design solutions.
- Maintain design standards, style guides, and accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1).
- Support agile development cycles and provide design assets for implementation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of professional UI/UX design experience, preferably in government or large‑scale enterprise environments.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of user‑centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present design concepts to stakeholders.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required by federal contracts.
Compensation & Benefits
