Key Responsibilities
- Design intuitive user interfaces and engaging user experiences for government‑focused web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and subject‑matter experts to translate requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity mockups.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations to inform design decisions.
- Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI component libraries that ensure consistency across platforms.
- Advise on accessibility standards (WCAG) and ensure all designs meet federal compliance requirements.
- Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and incorporate feedback iteratively.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of proven UI/UX design experience, preferably on large‑scale or government projects.
- Proficiency with industry‑standard tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and InVision.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end design process, problem‑solving, and visual storytelling.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in fast‑paced, cross‑functional teams.
- Knowledge of front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to effectively collaborate with developers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with federal regulations, security clearances, or prior work on government contracts.
