Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice to internal business and risk management teams on interpretation and application of U.S. Federal and State tax withholding and reporting requirements.
- Analyze tax implications across a broad range of financial products, payment types, and cross‑border transactions.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve job aids, reference guides, and standard operating procedures for tax compliance.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and operations partners to ensure accurate tax reporting and timely filing.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulatory guidance, and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
- Lead tax training sessions and mentor junior tax analysts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or related field; CPA or JD preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in U.S. Federal and State tax withholding and information reporting, preferably within banking or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of IRS publications, state tax authorities, and FATCA/CRS reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with tax software, Excel, and data‑analysis tools.
