ApTask Global Workforce is hiring a MCS Manufacturing Sr. Associate for a 12‑month contract with a global biotechnology company in Lake Sherwood, Ventura County, US. The role serves as Process Owner for downstream drug substance operations, providing quality oversight and project leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as subject‑matter expert and Process Owner for downstream drug substance manufacturing.
• Oversee analytical testing activities to ensure compliance with GMP and quality specifications.
• Lead cross‑functional projects, coordinating with R&D, Quality, and Production teams.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and validation reports.
• Identify process improvements, implement risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support regulatory submissions and respond to audit findings.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in downstream drug substance manufacturing within a biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong knowledge of analytical techniques (HPLC, LC‑MS, FTIR, etc.) and GMP regulations.
• Proven project management skills with ability to lead complex, multi‑disciplinary initiatives.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
