Sr. IT Project Manager

TEKsystems c/o Allegis Group is hiring a Sr. IT Project Manager for a hybrid role in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, NC. Lead enterprise‑scale application deployments, IT transformation initiatives, and service transitions while collaborating with business and IT leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor complex, enterprise‑wide IT projects from initiation to post‑implementation support.
• Coordinate with application owners, business stakeholders, ITSM teams, and the central PMO to ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and quality targets.
• Manage project budgets, resources, risk registers, and issue logs, providing regular status reports to senior leadership.
• Facilitate service transition activities, ensuring smooth hand‑over to operations and compliance with ITIL/ITSM standards.
• Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and applying best‑practice methodologies (PMI, Agile, Waterfall).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience managing large‑scale IT projects, preferably in a hybrid or enterprise environment.
• Proven track record with project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, Smartsheet) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills; ability to influence senior leaders.
• Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, or Prince2 are highly desirable.
