Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain wireless networks supporting Distribution Automation, Smart Meter Infrastructure, and other grid modernization projects.
• Conduct site surveys, RF planning, and capacity analysis to ensure network redundancy, resiliency, and optimal performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering, operations, and project management teams to deliver large‑scale initiatives on schedule and within budget.
• Provide technical guidance for the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of wireless equipment (e.g., LTE, 5G, microwave, IoT sensors).
• Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and best‑practice procedures for utility wireless communications.
• Perform field testing, drive‑tests, and post‑deployment validation to verify network integrity.
• Support vendor evaluations, procurement, and lifecycle management of wireless assets.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience designing and managing wireless networks for utility or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of RF engineering, spectrum management, LTE/5G, microwave links, and IoT communication protocols.
• Proficiency with RF planning tools (e.g., ATDI, iBwave, Planet) and network monitoring platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with field installation, antenna alignment, and troubleshooting of wireless hardware.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CWNA, PMP, CCNA) are a plus.
