Process Control Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Apply process control theory to monitor, analyse and optimise plant performance.
• Maintain and calibrate Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and associated hardware.
• Manage alarm strategies, investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot control loops, instrumentation and communication networks to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance and engineering teams to develop and test new control strategies.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports and compliance records.
• Support commissioning and start‑up activities for new or upgraded equipment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in process control within power generation, petrochemical or heavy‑industry environments.
• Proficiency with DCS platforms (e.g., ABB, Siemens, GE) and PLC programming.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience with alarm management and root‑cause analysis.
• Knowledge of safety standards (ISA‑84, IEC‑61511) and regulatory compliance.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work across multiple sites.
