Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain directional drilling equipment to install fiber optic cable, utility lines, and related infrastructure.
• Interpret drilling plans, blueprints, and site specifications to ensure accurate bore paths.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and crew members to align drilling activities with overall project schedules.
• Conduct pre‑job safety checks, monitor equipment performance, and perform routine maintenance.
• Document drilling progress, depth logs, and any deviations, providing clear reports to the supervision team.
• Adhere to LSCG’s safety protocols, environmental guidelines, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience operating directional drill rigs in construction or utility projects.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and clean driving record.
• Strong understanding of drilling mathematics, bore planning, and soil/rock conditions.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and job orders.
• Commitment to safety, with OSHA or similar safety training preferred.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
