Job Summary
Belcan, LLC is seeking an experienced ECAD Library Engineer – Siemens Xpedition to work remotely for a key aerospace client, based in Windsor, Hartford County, US. This role focuses on creating accurate electronic component models and symbols in compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and maintain electronic CAD component models and symbols using Siemens Xpedition.
- Ensure all library data meets aerospace industry standards, company guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with design engineers to gather part specifications and resolve modeling issues.
- Perform quality checks, version control, and documentation for all library entries.
- Provide technical support and training to internal teams on library usage and best practices.
- Continuously improve library processes, templates, and automation scripts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field.
- 5‑10 years of hands‑on experience creating ECAD libraries, preferably with Siemens Xpedition.
- Strong knowledge of component modeling, symbol creation, and footprint generation.
- Proficiency in interpreting datasheets, industry standards (IPC, MIL‑SPEC), and aerospace requirements.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with other ECAD tools (Altium, Mentor, Cadence).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, VBA) for library automation.
- Understanding of PCB design flow and electronic manufacturing processes.
Compensation
Annual salary: $58,391.02
