Job Summary
The Accessibility Analyst role at TEKsystems c/o Allegis Group in Pineridge, Lexington County (US) focuses on ensuring all technology purchases meet accessibility standards. You will evaluate digital tools, identify barriers, and guide departments toward inclusive solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess new software, hardware, and cloud services for compliance with WCAG, Section 508, and internal accessibility policies.
- Collaborate with IT procurement, legal, and business units to integrate accessibility criteria into RFPs and vendor contracts.
- Conduct accessibility testing, including automated scans and manual usability reviews with assistive technology.
- Document findings, provide remediation recommendations, and track issue resolution.
- Educate stakeholders on best practices and create training materials for inclusive technology adoption.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date accessibility checklist and contribute to policy updates.
- Support post‑implementation audits to verify ongoing compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human‑Computer Interaction, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience evaluating software/hardware for accessibility.
- Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1, Section 508, and ADA requirements.
- Proficiency with accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, JAWS, NVDA) and manual testing techniques.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence decision‑makers.
Preferred Experience
- Certification such as IAAP CPACC or WAS.
- Experience in a higher‑education or large‑enterprise procurement environment.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes.
Compensation
Salary: $98,561.12 annually.
