Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of mechanical systems for new facilities, additions, and renovations across higher education, commercial, hospitality, municipal, and institutional projects.
• Develop detailed construction drawings, specifications, and calculations in compliance with codes and standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and draftspeople.
• Evaluate existing mechanical systems, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend cost‑effective solutions.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, contractors, and owners to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Perform site visits and inspections as needed to verify design intent and resolve field issues.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and compliance records.

Required Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing mechanical systems for commercial or institutional buildings.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and industry‑standard analysis tools (e.g., HAP, Trace 700).
• Strong knowledge of ASHRAE, International Mechanical Code (IMC), and local building codes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while meeting project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with sustainable design and LEED certification.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination workflows.
• Project management certification (PMP) or similar.

Compensation & Benefits
