Job Summary
GE Aerospace is seeking a Safety Management System (SMS) Focal for its EMO site in Sharonville, Hamilton County, US. This full‑time role offers a salary of $118,048 per year and focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining the site’s Safety Management System.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Plant Leader and Quality Leader to design and continuously improve the SMS.
- Promote a positive product safety culture across all functional areas.
- Coordinate product safety initiatives, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate product safety risks through cross‑functional collaboration.
- Maintain documentation, conduct audits, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead training programs and safety briefings to embed SMS principles throughout the organization.
- Monitor compliance with FAA, EASA, and other relevant safety regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in safety management systems, preferably in aerospace or aviation manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of FAA/EASA safety regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct risk assessments and drive corrective actions.
- Proficiency with safety management software and data analysis tools.
