Job Summary

Meta is hiring a Data Engineer, Product Analytics in Carson Mall, Carson City, US. You will design, build, and maintain massive data pipelines that power analytics for Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Reality Labs and Threads.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on big‑data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Airflow).
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and software engineers to translate business requirements into robust data models.
• Build and maintain data warehouses and data lake structures that support real‑time and batch analytics.
• Implement data quality, monitoring, and alerting frameworks to ensure reliability for billions of users.
• Optimize query performance and storage costs across cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Meta’s internal infra).
• Document architecture, data dictionaries, and best practices for cross‑functional teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience building large‑scale data pipelines and warehouses.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and at least one big‑data processing framework (Spark, Flink, Presto).
• Strong understanding of data modeling, schema design, and data governance.
• Experience with cloud data services (AWS Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with real‑time streaming platforms such as Kafka or Pulsar.
• Knowledge of machine‑learning feature pipelines and data science workflows.
• Familiarity with Meta’s internal data stack and privacy‑by‑design principles.

Compensation

Annual salary range: $111,295 – $111,295 (USD), plus Meta’s comprehensive benefits package.
