About This Position
Job Summary
Walgreens is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join its Shoreline, King County location. This role supports the pharmacist with prescription processing, patient information management, and team coaching while adhering to state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist in filling, verifying, and dispensing prescriptions using Walgreens’ pharmacy computer systems.
- Retrieve accurate patient and medication information, ensuring compliance with all legal and company standards.
- Provide guidance and on‑the‑job coaching to fellow pharmacy technicians and cashiers on system usage and workflow best practices.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure proper storage of medications.
- Process cash, credit, and insurance transactions accurately and securely.
- Participate in inventory counts, stock replenishment, and expiration checks.
- Communicate effectively with patients, answering basic medication queries and directing complex questions to the pharmacist.
- Support the pharmacy team in meeting performance metrics and customer service goals.
Qualifications
- PTCB certification or equivalent state certification as a Pharmacy Technician.
- High school diploma or GED; additional pharmacy‑related training preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures.
- Excellent computer skills; experience with pharmacy management software is a plus.
- Good interpersonal skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
- Ability to work under direct supervision of a pharmacist and collaborate with a fast‑paced team.
Compensation & Benefits
