Senior Accounting Analyst at Targa Resources in Tulsa, Tulsa County (US). This role drives accurate revenue and cost accounting for gas processing plants while partnering with commercial teams to resolve financial questions.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate product revenues and associated gas purchase costs for assigned processing plants.
- Record all transactions in the accounting system to support gross‑margin reporting.
- Analyze operational reports and collaborate with the commercial group to resolve revenue and cost‑of‑sales issues.
- Review new contracts, verify proper system set‑up, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare periodic variance analyses, reconciliations, and financial statements for management review.
- Assist in month‑end and quarter‑end close processes, including journal entries and accruals.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 3‑5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in energy or commodities.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and revenue recognition principles.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
Compensation
Annual salary: $66,474.28 (fixed).
