About This Position

Merck is seeking a Chronic Care Specialty Sales Representative to join its team in Trenton, Mercer County, NY. In this field‑based role you will be the primary scientific liaison for healthcare providers, driving patient‑focused solutions across your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for physicians, pharmacists, and integrated delivery system leaders in your territory.
  • Leverage Merck’s clinical data and product expertise to educate customers on chronic‑care therapies.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives, Integrated Delivery Systems (IDS) leaders, and other field colleagues to develop and execute coordinated account plans.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to regional revenue goals.
  • Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and market intelligence to internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of specialty pharmaceutical sales experience, preferably in chronic‑care therapeutic areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex scientific information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
