Job Summary

SSM Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a weekend option position in the CVICU and Abdominal Transplant units (Days) at Saint Louis University Hospital in Wellston, Saint Louis County. This full‑time, regular role offers a salary of $90,659.45 per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiac and vascular patients and abdominal transplant recipients.
• Perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with physicians, pharmacists, therapists, and support staff.
• Administer medications, manage life‑support equipment, and respond to emergencies.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, post‑operative care, and discharge instructions.
• Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of Missouri.
• BSN preferred; Associate’s degree in Nursing acceptable with relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, preferably in CVICU or transplant surgery.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS required; CCRN or CCHD preferred.
• Strong critical‑thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work weekend day shifts and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
