Field Sales Development Representative (Remote)

Merck is hiring a Field Sales Development Representative to work remotely while serving customers in Jackson, Hinds County, US. This role combines face‑to‑face and virtual engagement to drive sales of companion animal products across vacant U.S. territories.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage veterinarians, clinics, and other animal health professionals both in‑person and virtually.
• Build strong, trusted relationships quickly to understand customer needs.
• Consult and recommend Merck’s companion animal solutions to meet those needs.
• Collaborate with the Companion Animal Field Sales Team to achieve regional sales targets.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in CRM systems.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned territories.

Requirements

• Proven sales experience, preferably in pharmaceutical or animal health markets.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Self‑motivated with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales goals.
• Ability to travel within the United States as needed.
• Comfortable using virtual meeting tools and CRM software.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $105,977.09 annually (fixed). Additional performance incentives and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.
