Join a high-velocity hospitality team as a Remote Guest Experience Specialist, where you’ll manage live mobile orders, coordinate with ghost kitchens, and resolve VIP escalations for a top-tier QSR brand—all without ever stepping foot in a physical restaurant. Turn chaotic lunch rushes into five-star digital interactions from the comfort of your home office.

About the Role

The counter has moved to the cloud. As a Remote Guest Experience Specialist, you are the digital face of the brand for thousands of daily customers navigating mobile apps, third-party delivery platforms (DoorDash, UberEats, Grubhub), and catering portals. This isn’t a passive support role; it’s a real-time operations position requiring the speed of a line cook and the empathy of a general manager. You will monitor order accuracy, intervene instantly when kitchen tickets stall, and de-escalate high-stakes guest issues before they hit social media. We are looking for professionals who understand that in the modern quick-service landscape, the “counter worker” is a tech-enabled logistics coordinator ensuring the burger arrives hot, the fries are crisp, and the drink isn’t forgotten—every single time.

What You’ll Do: Daily Impact

Real-Time Order Orchestration

  • Monitor live order queues across POS integrations (Toast, Square, Olo) and delivery tablets for 15+ virtual kitchen locations simultaneously.
  • Proactively communicate with kitchen leads via headset/Slack to adjust cook times, flag allergy alerts, and verify special prep instructions.
  • Manage “fire drills”: driver no-shows, POS outages, and inventory 86s by dynamically rerouting orders or issuing instant credits.

Guest Recovery & Retention

  • Own the “Make It Right” protocol: authorize refunds, re-fires, and loyalty points within strict SLAs (Service Level Agreements) without manager approval.
  • Handle Tier 2 escalations from chatbots and offshore Tier 1 teams, resolving complex catering disputes and dietary error claims.
  • Identify trending guest sentiment spikes (e.g., “cold fries at Location 4”) and push actionable reports to Regional Ops before lunch rush ends.

Quality Assurance & Data Hygiene

  • Audit menu builds on third-party menus weekly to ensure pricing, photography, and modifier logic match the master POS.
  • Test new LTO (Limited Time Offer) flows in staging environments; simulate guest journeys to catch bugs before launch.
  • Maintain a 98%+ Order Accuracy Rate and sub-90-second First Response Time across all channels.

Who You Are: Requirements

Must-Haves (Non-Negotiable)

  • QSR/Fast Casual Fluency: 2+ years front-line or management experience at a high-volume brand (McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A, Chipotle, Taco Bell, Starbucks, or equivalent ghost kitchen). You know the difference between a “modify” and a “sub” and why hold times matter.
  • Tech Stack Agility: Proven ability to juggle 3+ screens (POS dashboard, Delivery Tablet aggregator, CRM/Ticketing system like Zendesk/Kustomer, Internal Comms). Typing speed 50+ WPM.
  • Shift Reliability: Availability for core peak blocks: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM ET and 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM ET (including weekends/holidays). This is shift work, reimagined for remote.
  • Home Office Specs: Hardwired internet (25Mbps up/down min), dual monitors, noise-canceling USB headset, and a private, ergonomic workspace.

Nice-to-Haves (Bonus Points)

  • Experience with Olo, Checkmate, Deliverect, or ItsaCheckmate middleware.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification (active).
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish (high demand for Southwest/Miami markets).
  • Background in Workforce Management (scheduling/forecasting) or Kitchen Display Systems (KDS) administration.

Salary Range & Compensation

Estimated Annual Compensation: $38,000 – $48,000 USD/year.

  • Base Hourly Rate: $18.00 – $21.00/hr (dependent on experience tier and shift differential).
  • Peak Performance Bonuses: Quarterly payouts up to $1,500 for maintaining 99% Accuracy / <90s FRT / 95% CSAT.
  • Shift Differentials: +$1.50/hr for late-night (10 PM – 6 AM) and +$2.00/hr for recognized Federal Holidays.
  • Annual Stipend: $500/year Home Office Upgrade allowance (monitors, chair, headset).

Benefits & Perks: Built for the Remote Pro

Health & Wealth

  • Medical, Dental, Vision (80% employer paid) effective Day 1.
  • 401(k) with 4% Company Match (immediate vesting).
  • Telehealth & Mental Wellness App subscription (Calm/Headspace) free for household.

Lifestyle & Growth

  • Free Shift Meal Credits: $15/day UberEats/DoorDash credit redeemable during your scheduled shift hours.
  • Career Lattice: Defined promotion path to Remote Shift Lead (Year 1), Virtual Kitchen Manager (Year 2), or Field Ops Trainer (Year 3).
  • Tuition Reimbursement: $2,500/yr for hospitality management, supply chain, or data analytics courses.
  • Hardware Refresh: New laptop provided every 24 months; IT ships pre-configured equipment to your door.

Culture & Values: Hospitality at Scale

We don’t just process tickets; we protect the brand promise. Our remote team runs on Radical Candor and Bias for Action. Daily stand-ups are 7 minutes max. Retrospectives are blameless. We celebrate the “Save of the Week”—the specialist who caught a 50-box catering error before the driver left the lot. If you take pride in the perfect handoff, thrive on controlled chaos, and want the respect of a management track without the 60-hour weeks on your feet, this is your station.
