Epic Systems Analyst – Ambulatory
About This Position
Highmark Health is seeking an Epic Systems Analyst – Ambulatory in Trenton, Mercer County, US. This role will configure, implement, and support Epic ambulatory applications while collaborating with clinical and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, build, test, and deploy Epic ambulatory modules according to business needs.
- Gather and document functional and technical requirements from end‑users.
- Conduct system analysis, create design specifications, and configure workflows, interfaces, and reports.
- Provide day‑to‑day support, troubleshoot issues, and deliver timely resolutions.
- Develop and deliver training materials and user guides for clinical staff.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other health‑IT systems.
- Participate in system upgrades, testing cycles, and post‑implementation evaluations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Nursing, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience configuring and supporting Epic Ambulatory applications.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clinicians, administrators, and technical staff.
- Knowledge of healthcare workflows, regulatory standards, and interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Epic certification (e.g., Epic Ambulatory, Epic Beacon).
- Experience with system integration, database queries, and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with US healthcare reimbursement and compliance requirements.
Compensation
Salary range: $61,778.76 annually.
