About the Role

As a Remote Dental Assistant, you will be the backbone of our tele‑dental operations, working closely with licensed dentists and administrative staff to deliver high‑quality care to patients nationwide. Your day‑to‑day tasks will include preparing virtual charts, managing appointment schedules, processing insurance verifications, and providing chair‑side support during video consultations. You will also help maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure that all patient information is handled securely.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and update electronic dental records before each virtual visit.
• Coordinate patient intake, including gathering medical histories and consent forms.
• Assist dentists during live video exams by handing over instruments, taking notes, and documenting findings.
• Process insurance claims, verify coverage, and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Manage the online appointment calendar, send reminders, and reschedule as needed.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all privacy and security protocols.
• Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss process improvements and training updates.

Requirements

• Current Dental Assistant certification or equivalent state licensure.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a dental office or dental service organization.
• Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental) and familiarity with telehealth platforms.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced remote setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with patients and clinicians.

Preferred Qualifications
