Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

HealthMark Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its remote team based in the United States. This senior‑level role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable health‑IT solutions, including the proprietary MedRelease platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and deploy high‑performance backend services for health‑information release and related workflows.
• Collaborate with product owners, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Write clean, test‑driven code in Java, C#, or Python and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR).
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices in agile development.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement automated monitoring and alerting.
• Contribute to continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines and DevOps processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in health‑IT or SaaS environments.
• Strong proficiency in server‑side languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python) and experience with RESTful API design.
• Hands‑on knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL options.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset.

• Experience with healthcare standards such as HL7, FHIR, or DICOM.

Compensation & Benefits
