Job Summary
Oracle is seeking a Software Development Snr Manager in Boston, Suffolk County, US to lead a high‑performing engineering team that designs, develops, and troubleshoots software for databases, applications, tools, and networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers, ensuring delivery of high‑quality code and meeting project timelines.
- Architect, design, and oversee development of complex software applications, operating systems, and database solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and drive continuous improvement in development processes.
- Collaborate with product owners, QA, and infrastructure teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Manage the full software lifecycle: planning, development, debugging, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Identify and implement enhancements to existing software platforms, improving performance, scalability, and security.
- Allocate resources, track progress, and report status to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands‑on software development experience and at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and database technologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or Go.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual base salary: $180,816.84
