Job Summary
Oracle is seeking a Software Development Snr Manager to lead a high‑performing engineering team in Lansing, Ingham County, US. This senior role oversees the design, development, debugging and enhancement of software for databases, applications, tools and networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and grow a team of software engineers throughout the full development lifecycle.
- Define and enforce software architecture standards and best practices.
- Plan, prioritize and allocate development tasks to meet project milestones and quality targets.
- Design, develop, test and debug complex software applications, operating systems and database solutions.
- Collaborate with product owners, QA, DevOps and infrastructure teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage code reviews, version control, release management and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory and Oracle corporate standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial or lead role.
- Deep expertise in software architecture, object‑oriented design and database technologies.
- Proficiency in languages such as Java, C++, Python or Go and experience with modern development frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, cloud platforms and micro‑services architecture.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
Compensation
Annual salary range: $201,584.22 (fixed).
