About This Position
Bloomberg is hiring a Senior Software Engineer – Workplace Productivity Engineer for its Grand Central, Manhattan office. Join the Workplace Productivity team to design and deliver internal solutions on Microsoft 365/Azure and Google Workspace for 25,000+ employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners to identify business problems and define technical solutions.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications that integrate with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Google Workspace.
- Maintain production‑ready code, perform code reviews, and ensure high‑quality standards.
- Automate workflows and improve employee productivity through innovative tooling.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and provide on‑call support as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in one or more languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure services, and Google Workspace APIs.
- Experience with cloud‑native architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Skills
- Experience building internal productivity tools at scale.
- Familiarity with Office Add‑ins, Power Platform, or Google Apps Script.
- Knowledge of security best practices for enterprise environments.
Compensation & Benefits
