Process Piping Designer (Senior Technical Manager)
About This Position
WSP USA is seeking a senior‑level Process Piping Designer (Senior Technical Manager) to join its Power Generation team in Fort Logan, Denver, CO. This role designs detailed process piping models, equipment layouts and provides field verification for large‑scale energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review 3‑D process piping models and equipment arrangements using industry‑standard software (e.g., AutoCAD Plant 3D, PDMS).
- Perform field verification, constructability reviews and clash detection to ensure design integrity.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineers, contractors and client representatives to meet project milestones.
- Lead technical reviews, mentor junior designers and enforce WSP quality standards.
- Prepare design documentation, specifications, and as‑built drawings for power generation facilities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Petroleum Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in process piping design for power generation or similar heavy‑industrial projects.
- Proficiency with 3‑D modeling tools (AutoCAD Plant 3D, PDMS, CADWorx) and P&ID development.
- Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, API, and relevant industry codes.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication and project leadership skills.
Compensation & Benefits
