About This Position
Oracle is seeking a Software Development Snr Manager to lead a high‑performing engineering team in Atlanta, Fulton County, US. This senior role oversees design, development, troubleshooting and debugging of software for databases, applications, tools and networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of software engineers through the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Apply software architecture expertise to design, develop, debug and enhance applications, operating systems and database solutions.
- Ensure code quality, performance, security and scalability by establishing best practices and conducting regular code reviews.
- Collaborate with product owners, QA, DevOps and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation and risk mitigation to meet delivery milestones.
- Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Drive adoption of modern development methodologies (Agile, CI/CD) and tools.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of software development experience with a strong background in databases, enterprise applications and system architecture.
- 5+ years of proven people‑management experience leading technical teams.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python or Go and familiarity with Oracle database technologies.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
Compensation
