About This Position

Architect, Agentic Engineering, OCI at Oracle in Washington, D.C., US. This role designs, develops and troubleshoots cutting‑edge software for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) while shaping engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and debug high‑performance software components for databases, applications, tools, and network services within OCI.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define project scope, specifications, and architectural guidelines.
  • Lead the evolution of standard engineering practices, recommending improvements and justifying product directions.
  • Provide consultative expertise to internal stakeholders, ensuring solutions meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge‑sharing sessions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably with cloud platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, C++, or Go and deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
  • Experience with OCI services, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to work independently and in a team, and strong communication abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Compensation

Salary: $144,215.31 per year (fixed).

Location

Washington, D.C., United States – on‑site role at Oracle headquarters.
