About This Position

Job Summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an Engine Overhaul Flight Deck Leader in Eagle River, Anchorage, US. This senior role oversees the end‑to‑end engine overhaul process, ensuring safety, quality, and on‑time delivery while leading a skilled team of technicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Flight Deck team responsible for disassembly, inspection, repair, and re‑assembly of jet engines.
  • Develop and enforce overhaul work‑plans, schedules, and quality standards in line with FAA and OEM requirements.
  • Coordinate with supply chain, engineering, and maintenance control to secure parts, tools, and documentation.
  • Monitor performance metrics, identify root‑cause issues, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and reduce rework.
  • Mentor and train technicians, fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
  • Prepare and present daily/weekly status reports for senior management and customers.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations throughout the overhaul process.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in jet engine overhaul or heavy‑maintenance environments.
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams in a high‑tempo aerospace setting.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA/EASA regulations, OEM overhaul manuals, and quality systems (AS9100, ISO 9001).
  • Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
  • Effective communication skills; ability to interface with customers, engineers, and senior leadership.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautics, or related field preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $92,047.09 annually (fixed). GE Aerospace offers comprehensive health, retirement, and professional development programs.
