Job Summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer for a fully remote role supporting the U.S. Coast Guard, based out of Douglas, Juneau, US. The position offers a salary of $110,820.11 per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mission‑critical ServiceNow applications for the U.S. Coast Guard.
• Implement automated workflows and integrations in line with the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, create technical specifications, and ensure timely delivery.
• Perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance of ServiceNow solutions.
• Provide mentorship to junior developers and contribute to best‑practice standards.
• Maintain documentation, version control, and adhere to security and compliance guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong expertise in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide APIs), workflow, UI policies, and integration methods.
• Proven experience with ITSM, ITOM, or related ServiceNow modules.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Preferred Skills

• ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and REST/SOAP integrations.
• Background in government or defense contracting environments.
